Since the baby has been born I have had so many people say to me, "Oh, you're a mommy now!"
And on father's day, people commented to Russell, "Awwww, it's your first father's day."
Ummmm...hello people?!
We've had a daughter for a year and a half.
You know, that short person that follows us around everywhere? The one that we feed, clothe, and tuck in at night? The one that lives in our house, has her own room...the one whose laundry is in the dryer right now?
Yeah, her. Our DAUGHTER.
I've been a mom for some time now. Thanks for noticing.

I HATE that comment!! I used to get the comment on Mother's day, "well, you're Joel's step mom, so that makes you sort of a mom, so I guess Happy Mother's day" REALLY?!?!?

That's just rude. So sorry you've had to hear it. Hope Joy wasn't around or at least didn't realize what they were saying.
